Motive (formerly KeepTruckin) is a technology company that provides fleet management solutions for the trucking industry. Its software integrates GPS tracking, dashcams, and Hours of Service monitoring to enhance safety, compliance, and efficiency for transportation businesses.

Project Overview:
The project aimed to streamline payroll and compliance processes for employees in Pakistan using the Techno Financials Payroll Management System. The primary objective was to automate compliance reporting, reduce manual intervention, and enhance integration with systems like Workday, Okta, and Slack.

Key Challenges:

• Manual Payroll Reconciliation: Discrepancies between Workday and payroll data caused inefficiencies.
• Compliance Gaps: Annual tax reviews and reports (WHT, EOBI, IESSI/PESSI/SESSI) required automation to align with evolving regulations.
• Employee Separation Protocols: The existing process lacked automation for Provident Fund (PF) and Gratuity Fund (GF) clearances during employee offboarding.
• Attendance Management: Inefficiencies in streamlining attendance and overtime reporting impacted payroll accuracy.

• Automating Regulatory Reports: Automating compliance reports for Withholding Tax (WHT), EOBI, IESSI/PESSI/SESSI.
• Locking Attendance and Payroll: Introducing automated approval workflows for attendance and payroll.
• Streamlining Employee Separation: Automating PF and GF clearances during offboarding.
• Enhancing Integration: Implementing seamless synchronization with external systems like Workday, Okta, and Slack.

Solution:
3techno Digital deployed Techno Financials 2.0 to automate payroll processes and compliance management while addressing Pakistan’s specific regulatory requirements. Key components of the solution included:

• Automated Payroll Processing: Introducing lock protocols for attendance and payroll approvals.
• Regulatory Compliance Automation: Generating WHT, EOBI, IESSI/PESSI/SESSI reports with minimal manual intervention.
• Integration Enhancements: Synchronizing employee data from Workday every six hours to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records.
